*)Open and play NZB files

NZBPlayer can open NZB files - this eliminates the need to download a large amount of headers! The NZB file tells NZBPlayer which binaries (files) to download and stream from Usenet. Video files on Usenet are usually split up across multiple files. NZBPlayer downloads those files from the Newsgroup, and plays the video contained within as it is doing so. It will work with any type of video file your external player supports - we recommend VLC, which can handle Avi (DivX, Xvid), Mpeg, 720p h264 to name but a few.

*) Play video files in multipart RAR files

NZBPlayer can also play or open RAR video files "as is". This opens up many possibilities! For example, you can stream over FTP, or from Rapidshare. Simply queue up the RARs in the correct order, and once the first RAR file has downloaded, drag it onto NZBPlayer. You can then start watching the video while the remaining files are being downloaded in the FTP/Download manager.

Handig programma om een download (bijvoorbeeld CAM release) te controleren op kwaliteit, zonder de hele film binnen te halen. Nadat een paar RAR"s binnen zijn, begint het programma al met het afspelen (via VLC) van de film.
