Post Description
This 2006 recording gathers 1980s MTV queen Kim Wilde's biggest hits ("Kids in America," "'View From A Bridge"), done up with post-millennial club-banger panache, and catchy new songs that continue where Wilde left off when she stopped recording. With a petulant voice and tender/tough lyrics, the Wilde formula is a kind of bad-girl toughness with a bouncy, synth-pop heart of gold. The most interesting track here is the legendary DJ Paul Oakenfold's sizzling remix of "Cambodia."
2006 album from the sexy '80s pop starlet! Kim initially shot to fame in the early part of the '80s with a fun, spirited take on New Wave, much of it written and produced with her brother Ricky (both Kim and Ricky's father Marty Wilde was a popular figure on the British music scene of the '60s). As she matured, so did her music and fan base, many who had waited years for this release, which adds the fun spirit back into her mature, modern sound. Features new interpretations of some of her big hits including 'You Came', 'Kids In America', 'You Keep Me Hangin' On' and 'View From A Bridge' plus brand new songs like 'Perfect Girl', 'I Fly', 'Forgive Me', 'Maybe I'm Crazy' and others.
