Absolutely Fabulous began life as a sketch on French & Saunders but with Dawn French playing the role of Saffy. A pilot for the series was filmed but studio executives didn't believe that Dawn French was convincing playing a teenage girl and the part of Saffy was offered to Julia Sawalha. Joanna Lumley and June Whitfield were added to the cast and the popular BBC comedy series was ready to hit the airwaves. It remained one of the networks highest rated shows throughout it's complete run and was also a smash hit in the United States.


6x01 -- Identity (Dec/25/2011) 

There is a homecoming for one of the group who has been 'away' for quite a while after Edina picks her daughter up from the prison. The Royal Wedding ends up being re-enacted by Bubble. A frightening visitor friend of Saffy's from the prison reveals that Patsy owes her a lot of money. Patsy is forced to discover just how old she really is and claim her pension to raise the money needed to pay her the money she owes.
