A stunning visual companion to Cecilia Bartoli's sensational new audio project, Mission showcases the world's best-selling classical artist in the spectacular vocal music of Agostino Steffani.

Filmed within the exquisite interiors of the Château de Versailles - the palace of Louis XIV, the Sun King, before whom the 25-year-old Steffani performed in 1679 - Olivier Simonnet's cinematographic vision features Cecilia in dazzling performances of many of the world premiere recordings featured on the CD.

Accompanied by leading Baroque ensemble I Barochisti (directed by Diego Fasolis), Cecilia is also joined on screen and in duet by star French countertenor Philippe Jaroussky.

The film includes five pieces not available on the Mission CD.
