Richie doesn't take 'meeting the parents' lightly so he doesn't just invite any old girl over. 
He's been pretty serious about Charity for a while now and has made plans for his folks to meet him twice already. 
But she is dreading meeting them as she has found in the past she doesn't make the best impression.
