Dougie MacLean - The Plant Life Years (1995)

These songs were obviously recorded in Dougie's earlier years -- his voice is very obviously younger in several of the recordings, to absolutely MARVELOUS effect. "Johnny Teasy-Weasel" (which seems to have been written with the intention that it be sung by a woman, but that is neither here nor there) and "Leis a Lurigan" (a grand piece about sailors, if you go for that sort of thing, which I do) are two of my favourites, both playful and upbeat.
