Hij staat sinds 1987 in de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, sinds 1987 in de Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame en sinds 1989 in de Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2010 kreeg Orbison postuum een ster op de beroemde Hollywood Walk of Fame. ***
