Post Description
Moving towards the gloomy, obscure sounds of New Wave, the Oakland-based foursome Wax Idols steer towards a different direction with their sophomore album, Discipline and Desire. Its predecessor “No Future” had its own unique appeal with its raw, garage sound. But the band’s recent release is testimony of their maturity and growth. With more solid melodies and a refined quality to their music, Wax Idols are headed towards greater things.
Discipline and Desire is simply a well-crafted collection of hard-hitting, infectious songs worthy of accolades and praises. It’s soft and tough at the same time, just like the finest silk.
