'Reverse Shark Attack' is a frenzy of psychedelic garage rock riffs with tracks like 'I wear black' and 'Drop Dead Baby' sounding like a fucking crazed version of The Sonics mixed with The Monks. Could i be any more complimentary? Probably not. Saturated in reverb and distortion and barely audible above all the noise, Ty and Cronin amuse with cheeky lyrics and a feisty soprano/baritone vocal delivery. Highlights include mammoth title track 'Reverse Shark Attack' as well as a wild cover of Pink Floyd's 'Take up the stethoscope and walk'. Also worth mentioning is the crazy use of tape echo!!! You thought Dwyer was making the best of this archaic device? Think again, these guys take it next level, abusing tape echo with frenzied glee. Totally awesome!
