- New! Performance Optimizer shows which applications are slowing down the PC and suggests corrective actions. The Optimizer includes memory and CPU usage gauges that show the last 60 minutes activity for each application running on your PC.

BitDefender 2011 Beta 1 Known Issues:

- Hidden items are detected, but actions on hidden items fail.
- Sometimes the ETL for the on-demand scanner displays estimations with a high error margin.
- Password protected archives fail to be scanned even if the password is provided in the scanner wizard.
- Quarantined items fail to be sent to BitDefender servers.
- QuickScan and Autologon scan tasks cannot be scheduled.
- The settings for Game / Laptop / Silent Mode for skip/postpone backup tasks do not work.
- Silent Mode status remains "disabled" even when the module is enabled.
- If you enable file encryption alerts in Intermediate View and you open the Preferences window, the file encryption will be reported as disabled.
- Home Network Management is not included in the Beta 1 build.
- Chat Encryption is not included in the Beta 1 build.
- Smart Search from Basic View and Integrated Support returns values only for a few search terms.
- Enabling Game Mode or Laptop Mode form Options>Preferences fails.
- Scan Activity Tab does not provide the correct status of the Antivirus and Firewall module.
- During the installation process you will receive several Microsoft Notification messages related to driver installation (please choose ?Continue Anyway? to proceed with the installation)
