David Bowie werd bekend vanwege wereldhits zoals Space Oddity, Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Let's Dance, Dancing in the Street, Heroes en Under Pressure. In Nederland had Bowie vijf nummer 1-hits. Daarnaast is hij bekend van de verschillende imago's, die vooral in de jaren zeventig excentriek te noemen waren. ***
