Post Description
German armor played a critical role in the ill-fated Ardennes Offensive. Better known as the Battle of the Bulge, the offensive relied on highly mobile tank divisions to break through the Allied lines and rush to the channel in order to split British and American forces. It was the last great battle of armor fought on the Western Front and would herald, in less than 6 months, the final capitulation of Nazi Germany. Made with the help of the Royal Tank Museum at Bovington, this powerful film features rare archive footage, stunning 3-D animation, full-scale reconstructions, and the views of leading authorities on tank warfare including Dr. Robin Clifton of Warwick University and author Bob Carruthers.
