The show follows Cathy Jamison, a reserved suburban wife and mother whose recent stage-IV melanoma diagnosis forces her to really begin to live for the first time in her adult life. Choosing to keep the fact of her terminal illness secret from her family, she behaves in ways they find puzzling and increasingly bizarre as she finds new freedom to express herself.
