Bob Dylan, geboren als Robert Allen Zimmerman (Duluth (Minnesota), 24 mei 1941) is een Amerikaans singer-songwriter en kunstenaar. Hij wordt beschouwd als een van de grootste songwriters van de Verenigde Staten in de twintigste eeuw. Op 13 oktober 2016 werd hem de Nobelprijs voor Literatuur toegekend omdat hij "de grootse Amerikaanse liedtraditie met nieuwe dichterlijke expressiemogelijkheden heeft uitgebreid".
